Sea Salt, Epsom salts, Kosher Salt, and Table Salt all have a place in Hoodoo. It is found naturally in the sea and on the earth and is often found in protection or purification spells. In Hoodoo, herbs are mixed with salt to create a product to treat specific conditions. There is also Black Salt (sometimes called Witches’ Salt) which is not the black salt you can eat, rather it is salt mixed with other things such as ash, which turns it a gray/black color.
